Its a custom in life where you meet people as you walk along the path that is set before you. There will be people of many kinds, some nice, and others not very nice. Some would just be an acquaintance, where as some would last a friendship of a lifetime with you. In between, some will find you and stick with you, walking on the same path until the road diverges into two and each take seperate ways to pursue different passions and dreams. Despite that, there are no regrets taking chances, because it is not often where you meet someone who understands you the way you are, and u understanding them just the same. And as you walk deeper into this path where you both are heading, perhaps, a special friendship, or bond is created, and this bond itself will colour the trees, leaves, clouds, and even add details to the small things like every bits of sads, earth and soil that u step upon. Memories will be built, and these memories will last a lifetime. Even if as time passes, the wind blows off the footsteps that is left upon the trail, you will look back upon the same path knowing that u and that one, two, three, or more people have walked through this path together, bringing back perhaps the fondest momories...
Among the pool of people that you meet, sadly there will only be a significant few that will remain. Its hard to believe sometimes, but inevitably a sad fact. Yet it the ones who gives you the biggest impact in ur life are the ones you will remember for the coming days, even as you move on to other platforms of your life. And that person, or people willl leave a footprint in your heart, in which it stays no matter how many people you ought to meet in the future. No matter how far you walk a journey away from that person.
I have been blessed to have met several significant people who I can say, contribute to the being I am today. The main four people is of course my family, comprised my beloved parents, and the two most wonderful siblings, a brother and a sister. Outside the family circle, there are others who too have contributed to who I am. Some may have forgotten me, and some still has at least a vivid memory. But no matter what, whether past of present, to those people, you know who you are. Thank you...
That is why this blog is named footsteps. Because I know that no matter how many people that I meet and have met in the past and the future, only the ones who are most true will leave the deepest footprint in my heart. And these footprints will never be faded away, unlike the leaves that wither during winter season, because they are eternal, and have become one with me.
Whereas for lil, its a way to remind myself and everyone who reads this blog that there wil always be a little person inside of you. That no matter how much u grow, the special voice that in in the core of one's heart will be a covenant, or a haven to seek for when the going gets tough, and the tough gets going. A special person told me before, growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional. So one day when you feel that you areall alone, and there is no one for you to rely on, remember that there is always that little person and place that will be your place of comfort and safety.
This person who is writing this blog is not an avid blogger, nor someone who takes words as a masterpiece or a constant mode of expression. But she is quite sure that this blog will be carried with her as the days become months, and months become years. So everytime when she types 'lilfootsteps', she hopes that she will be reminded of the days where life was younger, and happier, and with much less burden...where she can be the person that she wants to be, and not the person the world wants her to be. Perhaps, this place would be the place she voices the expressions, or not. And whether it does or not, only one thing can tell. Time.............
