-THE END-

Permanent.

Some things are temporary, some things are permanent.

Most things don't last. Well, nothing lasts, truly. Especially something so fragile, like life.

After battling cancer for more than 10 years,
American Idol star David Cook's brother, Adam, 37, succumbed to the disease last month.

David came to sing in the finale results show wearing a black band on his right arm, signifying a death of a dearest loved one. Singing Permanent, with sadness seen in his eyes despite the cool persona he often displayed.

I guess you have read in my blog a thousand times that echoes, where there is a beginning, there is always an end. With that, a chapter of my life has come to a close, and so will this blog too.

This entry will be my last. So thank you all for constantly visiting and bearing my occasional rants. It has been truly fun while it lasted and still meant happiness.

This is lilfootsteps, signing off for the last time.

Thank you.

We're Simply The Best!

It's the day of role play...!! Hours and hours of practicing and the day is finally here! I woke up with a good smile knowing I could go back to SHC and still feel like an employee there. So at about 12.55 when I reached, I saw familiar faces eating McD's. Well, everyone at UCC were eating MCD's. On the way to work I received a message from Janice that said she got lunch for me. (How sweet). Turns out every one's lunch was under the courtesy of our there DHs, Mr. Steven Wong (My Boss), Mr. David Teh and Ms. Wong Sing Yee. How sweet of them yah!

After lunch it was time for setting up the stage and beautifying it. Here's a few pics during the setting up of the stage. The red, gold and silver balls hung upon the ceiling made it feel like it was Christmas! Heck, it was actually Christmas balls!

Because our theme colour was
red and gold, and our theme was a grammy-awards look alike, we wanted to make it as personalised as we could. So being in the equipment team, I was in charge of finding stars, cutting them, and make them look like this. 60 of them altogether, with help from Janice. I wished I had a closer shot, but I was too busy to take one. Anyways, this was one of our ways making it as personalised as we can, where the stars were trails to lead the audiences into our hall. Not bad eh???

At about 4.15 after the final rehearsal, she ladies ro
om was packed with........ladies lar of course. All getting dressed up for the show. As for me, being the leng lui, I also spent quite in there lar...Ahem, of course wert...Gotta lift up to the expectations! My part is to walk by Mr. Calvin Kwet as this really sexy leng lui walking really hotly which made him spill hot burning coffee on his shirt and the story goes on. Walk walk walk, then boom! Trip on myself (which was the plan) and the audience laughed. Lolz. Then I was also the background singer for the opening and one of the lead singers to the improvised song "That's The Way It Is" by Celine Dion. Oh man, me singing??? That's like making a lion do a lullaby! Oh man...The only time I sing is in my bathroom! Now in front of everyone???? Oh noooo.///!!!!!

(Kwet Kwet and 'leng lui')
Everyone was having a blast! We actors and actresses were having a great time while the audiences were laughing their heads away...Of course, it;s all thanks to Siti Beyonce, because if it were not to be her talents, it wouldn't been an awesome success! Well of course lar, she's certified talent man! A graduate in Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting), that's why dun play play wei..! :O

At the end of the show, Steven thanked me for coming back, and I thanked him for giving me the chance to do so, and we ended up exchanging hugs. I have always been so nervous around him (and I still was even during that moment ^^), because he's my big boss ever since that day I first met him in the interview room three months ago. But over the months, I looked upon him not only as a kind gentleman, but a caring boss and a nice person. if ever in the future, I were to get a man like him as my boss, I would be so grateful!!! Thumbs up, HR Rocks!!!

What a good closure for me. Three months of experience gaining, nice acquaintances which gradually formed into friendship, and being a part of something so happening and hawt!!! And I had compliments on how I sounded in the show. Guess I didn't roar like a lullabying lion after all!!! *smiles smiles*

More pics...

(Sing Yeen (my senior) and me with a grammy!!! Yay!!! Eh, but for what leh?????)

My Dream...

I look ahead. The road stretches before me and bends to a curve.

I look above. The sky is dark agleam. The gloomy clouds came to take its place upon the bright sky.

There was the sun. But it was slowly covered by the cumulonimbus clouds, blocking every possible shine while the poor sun stood there, helpless.

I look to my left. The greenery of the vast field fills my heart with serenity.

I look on the ground. Flowers in yellow came falling down, changing the ground into a work of art meticulously, with arrays of yellow in contrast to earthy brown and dark green. Oh how nature does its wonders in its most fashionable way.

I am standing at the pathway. The path lies before me. The breeze catches me, sending me chills down my spine.

I breathe a good long sigh...

I am free.

In another place, another time.

It was dark.

Stars were everywhere. It became the light in the dark. The moon was thrice as large. I was on a high land. It was foggy.

I swear I could almost touch the sky. The stars burst into beautiful magical dust as I glided my fingers and touched it.

It was at my fingertips.

This was in another place, another time.

This was a picture in my dream...
